Cost & Operations Accountant

About The Company:

An established and respected company in a niche industry, they are an innovative company looking to further develop their Finance function.

The Role:

We are looking for a Cost Accountant to join our client. In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop a role partnering with the FD and working closely with the Operations Director.  The position has scope for further growth as the company makes progress in new markets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide analytical support and insight on the manufacturing performance to both Finance and Operations.
• Manage Product costings to facilitate -Analysis and review of stock management i.e. product life cycles, slow moving /obsolete items etc.
• Analysis of Cost Base to identify biggest areas for potential cost reduction.
• Leading on all matters relating to the UK Entities Finances.
• Monitor, track and evaluate the operational costs and identify areas for savings.

Desirable Skills:

• Qualified or Studying Accountant with a demonstrable background in SME Businesses.
• Experience in an Export environment.
• Excellent numeracy and problem solving skills.
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Advanced Excel skills.
