My client is a flourishing primary school based in Rainham, Essex now looking to recruit an experienced School Business Manager to lead the financial and wider operational requirements for the school to include overseeing Premises, Health and Safety and IT. You will work closely with the Leadership Team and Governors to ensure the school’s resources are efficiently managed, comply with legal requirements, and support the broader educational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Applications are sought from candidates with previous school business management experience, who’ll enjoy the responsibility of holding a valued position with the Head and SLT.
The role is a permanent role, offers hybrid working both in school and holiday time, with additional flexibility offered on start and finish times. Interviews are to be held early in the New Year, with applications welcomed as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day management of the finance function
- Budget setting, management and reporting
- Help in the planning and management of school resources, to including finance, premises and lettings.
- Maintaining staffing records and keeping abreast of any employment legislation changes
- Manage site and broader support staff, providing support and guidance as line manager.
- Advise the Head Teacher and Governors on strategic issues relating to finance, resources, and premises.
