A respected primary school in Brent, known for its deep community ties and reputation as a school of choice, is seeking an experienced and dynamic School Business Manager to oversee its non-teaching operations. This critical role is central to the school’s ongoing success and offers the opportunity to work closely with the Headteacher as part of the Senior Leadership Team.
Supported by a dedicated team of support staff, the School Business Manager will ensure the smooth running of the school’s operational functions while contributing to its strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
We are seeking candidates with prior experience as a School Business Manager, particularly those with strengths in budgeting and financial management. While formal qualifications are beneficial, they are not essential.

- Financial Management: Lead the school’s finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Human Resources: Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management of staff.
- Strategic Collaboration: Work with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team to align resources with the school’s strategic objectives.
- Staff Leadership: Manage the school office and other non-academic support staff, ensuring efficient operations.
- Health and Safety: Take responsibility for the school’s health and safety compliance.
- Premises Management: Lead the premises team, ensuring the school’s facilities are well-maintained and fit for purpose.
- Governance Support: Provide organizational and management support to the Headteacher and Governing Body.
