Accounts Assistant

About The Company:

We're thrilled to assist a rapidly expanding business in the heart of Maidstone in their search for an Accounts Assistant. The successful candidate will join a small but supportive team, directly reporting to the Head of Finance. This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of an innovative, forward-thinking company at a crucial point in their growth.

The Role:

As an Accounts Assistant, you'll be an essential part of the finance team, handling a variety of day-to-day accounting tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing accounts payable and receivable
• Overseeing purchase and sales ledgers
• Preparing management reports
• Handling VAT returns
• Conducting credit control
• Processing payroll
• Managing employee expenses

Desirable Skills:

• 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar finance role
• A proactive and detail-oriented approach to tasks
• Strong experience with transactional accounting
• Proficiency in accounting software, ideally Xero
• A solid working knowledge of Excel
