Tolworth Girls' School is a large, over-subscribed, non-selective, Academy school with a mixed sixth form in a local authority which retains selection at 11+. Most Year 11 girls apply to the large and still increasing sixth form. They are joined by girls and boys from other schools. Attainment on entry covers the entire range with a very slightly larger proportion of higher attaining students than average.
The school has earned many national awards including Investors in People, Healthy Schools and Artsmark Gold. In 2000 we acquired Training School status and continue to train new recruits to the teaching profession. We have been a Leading Edge school since 2004 and became a Specialist Technology School in 2005, and a Foundation school in 2007. On 1st August 2011 we became a state funded Academy.
